Urnex Brands, Inc. Announces
First Ever Grinder Cleaning Product Foreign and Domestic Patents Pending
April 2005 (Yonkers, NY) -- Today, Urnex Brands, Inc. announced the introduction of the first ever product for cleaning coffee grinding equipment. The new product, called Grindz™ Grinder Cleaner, is an all-natural and food-safe compound presented in coffee bean shaped tablets. Operators can quickly and safely grind the product through their grinders to remove coffee oil and particle residue while also removing flavored coffee odors. There is no longer a need to disassemble the grinder to clean burrs or casings. Extensive U.S. and foreign patent documentation has been filed for the product.
The inspiration for Grindz™ Grinder Cleaner came from discussions between Joshua Dick, President of Urnex Brands, Inc. and Nils Erichsen, Managing Partner of Stawert Muhlenbau GmbH which is the manufacturer of world-famous Mahlkönig grinding machines. Over the past year, the Urnex® Brands technical team has been formulating and testing the Grindz™ Brand prototypes in Yonkers, NY. Throughout the process, they have received advice and technical input from Mahlkönig's team of engineers and executives in Hamburg, Germany. The first commercial samples and product demonstrations will be offered at the Specialty Coffee Association of America Conference in Seattle this month. The product will be available for sale and distribution in June 2005.
